At Jardeg-Construction, we are seeking a skilled Pipefitter Journeyperson to join our team in the Province of Alberta. This is an expression of interest for future opportunities within the Maintenance and Turnaround group.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on various project sites, including fly-in/fly-out, drive-in/drive-out, and local roles. Depending on the scope of work, the position may provide camp accommodations, LOA, or other travel incentives.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Pipefitter who can demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety practices and protocols, excellent problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

The key responsibilities of the Pipefitter Journeyperson include:

  • Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals, or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, and bending of pipes, valves, and fittings.
  • Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.

The successful candidate will also possess:

  • Journeyperson Pipefitter/Steamfitter certification.
  • Proven experience as a Journeyperson Pipefitter, preferably in industrial or construction settings.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of materials, tools, and installation techniques used in pipefitting.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices and protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and independently as required.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and project stakeholders.

The minimum requirements for the position include:

  • Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or CSTS-09
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space Entry & Monitor
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Arrest and/or Fall Protection
  • Basic Rigging Certification
  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test

  • WHMIS
