About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bar Manager Assistant to join our team at Outlook Motor Hotel. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for assisting the Bar Manager in the day-to-day operations of our bar.

Key Responsibilities
  • Budgeting and Cost Control

Develop and manage budgets to determine the cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies, ensuring that we maintain a high level of profitability.

Operational Evaluation

Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.

Revenue Management

Monitor revenues to determine labor costs and make adjustments as needed to ensure that we are meeting our financial targets.

Staff Management

Recruit, train, and supervise staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent customer service.

Customer Service

Provide exceptional customer service to our guests, addressing any complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.

Inventory Management

Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that we have the necessary supplies and products to meet customer demand.

Regulatory Compliance

Ensure that we are in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations.

Requirements
  • Education

No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.

Work Setting

Our bar is located in a rural area, and we are willing to relocate the right candidate.

Certifications

A Food and Beverage Server Trade Certification is an asset.

Work Conditions

This is a fast-paced environment, and you must be able to work under pressure to succeed in this role.

Work Language

English is the primary language spoken in our bar, and you must be fluent in English to communicate effectively with our guests and staff.

Work Hours

30 to 40 hours per week is the typical work schedule for this role.
