Banquet Server Job Description

The Silver Hotel Group is seeking a skilled Banquet Server to join our team. As a Banquet Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our events and providing exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Banquet Managers in serving guests during events to ensure a positive experience.
  • Set up banquet rooms according to specifications, including glassware, servingware, and linens.
  • Attend pre-con meetings to learn about events and hotel expectations.
  • Greets and welcomes guests, responding to their requests in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Serves beverages and food in the appropriate order, ensuring consistency throughout the event.
  • Quickly and quietly removes dishes as guests finish each course and at the end of each meal or function.
  • Abides by all corporate acts, laws, and requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages and food handling.
  • Replenishes beverages when necessary and checks with guests regularly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Resets the banquet room after events to ensure readiness for other functions.
Requirements:
  • Previous serving experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of catering practices is an asset.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work quickly and as a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professionalism and an eye for presentation.
