Infant & Toddler Early Childhood Educator - Float Position

As an Infant & Toddler Early Childhood Educator in a floating capacity, you will play a vital role in nurturing and guiding young children in a supportive environment.
Compensation: The wage for this position is $24.90 per hour, complemented by a Government Wage Enhancement of $6.00/hour for fully certified Early Childhood Educators.
Benefits: Employees will enjoy a range of benefits including a YMCA membership, paid sick leave for both yourself and family members, 6% vacation pay (which includes scheduled operational closures), comprehensive training opportunities, a full benefits package, a 5% employer-matched pension, and discounts on child care services (excluding IT Care).
Work Schedule: This is a temporary full-time position with hours from Monday to Friday.
Program Overview:
The YMCA of Greater Vancouver is a leading not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing high-quality child care services across the region. Our child care programs are designed to be a safe and nurturing environment for children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage directly with children, delivering exceptional care and innovative programming.
- Work across various centers as required, while maintaining a primary base at one of the YMCA locations.
- Foster positive daily communication and interactions with families.
- Assist in the planning and execution of a consistent, child-centered program.
- Collaborate with the staff team to provide high-quality, age-appropriate programs based on the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum.
- Comply with all Child Care Licensing Regulations and YMCA Child Protection Policies.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a current and valid Infant & Toddler Early Childhood Educator License to Practice.
- Three satisfactory professional references and experience in a child care or recreational setting.
- Current Emergency Child Care First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
- Clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Reliable transportation within the service area.
