Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement process designs and improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Lead Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) creation and updates, collaborating with suppliers as needed.
  • Create assembly and process flow charts, as well as work instructions and control plans, to ensure lean manufacturing principles are applied.
  • Identify and implement manufacturing process improvements, including cost-benefit analysis and senior evaluation.
  • Support the Quality department in supplier qualification and selection, evaluating manufacturing capabilities.
  • Conduct workflow analysis and recommend improvements in material handling and shop layout.
  • Establish and maintain work standards for product costing and productivity measurement.
Requirements
  • Engineering degree in a relevant field, such as Chemical Engineering, or a Chemical Technologist with 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a process engineer in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in taking projects through launch and subsequent production, with expertise in PFMEA techniques.
  • Knowledge of TS16949 and ISO9000 requirements, as well as APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow.
  • Proven ability to create and execute project plans that achieve identified targets.
Work Environment
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Ability to attend and conduct presentations.
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
  • Ability to physically implement designs.
  • Overtime as required.
