Job Title: Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Headwaters Health Care Centre. As a key member of our D Wing (Med/Surg/Paeds) Department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing general and specialized nursing duties, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care. You will be accountable for maintaining accurate records, communicating effectively with patients and families, and adhering to established standards of care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patient vital signs, report changes, and respond to emergencies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Minimum 1 year recent experience in medical-surgical and/or pediatric nursing.
  • Current BCLS certification and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
  • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Paediatric Course) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification preferred.
  • Acceptable performance and attendance records.
