Stockroom Supervisor

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stockroom Supervisor to join our team at A-Mart North Calgary. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our stockroom and ensuring that our inventory is accurately managed.
Key Responsibilities- Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a team of stockroom staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
- Inventory Management: Conduct regular inventory counts, investigate discrepancies, and implement processes to prevent stock losses.
- Ordering and Receiving: Coordinate the receipt and storage of incoming merchandise, ensuring that all items are accurately received and stored in the stockroom.
- Return and Exchange Policy: Authorize the return of merchandise and process exchanges in accordance with company policies.
- Scheduling and Reporting: Create and manage work schedules for stockroom staff, and prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters.
- Problem-Solving: Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
- Inventory Organization: Maintain a clean and organized stockroom, ensuring that all products are easily accessible and that the area is safe and secure.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of stockroom staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a stockroom or inventory management role.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 30 to 44 hours per week.
