KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Electronics Service Technician, your role will encompass the following:

  • Installation, commissioning, and refurbishment of electrical and electronic systems;
  • Programming of electronic devices including variable speed drives and PLCs;
  • Diagnosing, repairing, calibrating, and maintaining AC/DC electronic drive systems at client locations;
  • Conducting mechanical and electrical assessments on production equipment to ensure adherence to standards;
  • Documenting any test or startup discrepancies in reports;
  • Ensuring equipment meets CSA compliance standards;
  • Participating in emergency service rotations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • DEC in Industrial Electronics or equivalent qualification;
  • 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in a service technician role;
  • Familiarity with electric motors, variable speed drives, and PLCs;
  • Proficient in using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools;
  • Bilingual in French and English;
  • Competent in computer applications (MS Office and Internet);
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license;
  • Capability to lift or manage heavy items.

  • Self-sufficient and resourceful;
  • Team-oriented with a customer-focused approach.

WORKING HOURS

  • Monday to Friday (40 hours per week with potential for overtime);
  • On-call duties during evenings and weekends on a rotating basis.
