About the Role

The Electronics Technician III will be a key member of the R&D team at Boston Scientific, working alongside engineers to design, develop, and test cutting-edge medical devices. This role will involve creating builds for R&D prototypes and low production quantities, reviewing electrical design drawings, and providing input on manufacturing feasibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical and electronic systems, including wire harnesses and mechanical builds.
  • Execute manual and automated test cases to ensure design meets requirements.
  • Document test results and participate in engineering report development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Participate in mechanical and electrical/electronic prototype development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or diploma in electro-technical, electronic, or related field.
  • Experience using crimping tools, soldering, drills, multimeter, oscilloscope, and fault-testing equipment.
  • Technical knowledge of testing concepts for electrical equipment.
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 CLASS2 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 CLASS.
  • Good documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Hipot and EMC testing.
  • Good surface mount hand soldering skills.
  • Working knowledge of electronic circuits.
  • Knowledge of automation tools and processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in a team environment.
  • An analytical and quantitative approach to work.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Schematic and PCB designs using Allegro and Altium.
