Position Summary
As a Plant Care Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and nurturing plant displays in diverse settings. This role requires reliability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to operate independently. Your daily tasks will involve visiting multiple client locations to ensure the health and beauty of the plants through essential care routines.
- Perform maintenance on plant displays and air purification systems.
- Regularly visit client sites as per the established schedule.
- Safely operate a service vehicle in various environments.
- Allocate up to 50% of your working hours to driving.
- Conduct all necessary plant care tasks, including watering, pruning, and fertilizing.
- Utilize trained techniques to assess and meet the watering needs of plants based on their specific requirements.
- Ensure optimal light conditions for plant displays.
- Maintain cleanliness of plants and their containers.
- Monitor and manage plant health to prevent diseases and pest infestations.
- Occasionally work from ladders to care for taller plants.
- Protect surrounding areas from potential water damage.
- Maintain scenting and air purification equipment as needed.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and build rapport with clients.
- Identify opportunities for additional services to enhance client satisfaction.
- Complete electronic service reports to document care activities.
- Assist with the installation of plant displays and holiday decorations.
- Safely handle materials and equipment during installations.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience in plant care is preferred.
- Experience in client interaction is beneficial.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Able to safely use ladders and other equipment.
- Familiarity with gardening tools such as pruners and scissors.
