Job Opportunity: Armed Cash Transport Driver

GardaWorld Cash is seeking a dynamic and challenging work environment for a skilled Armed Cash Transport Driver. If you have a firearm possession and acquisition license, this could be the perfect opportunity for you to join our secure transportation team.

We are currently recruiting for armed guards (casual position) for our St.John's Newfoundland's branch. As an Armed Cash Transport Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of cash and valuables.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform pickups and deliveries of cash and valuables safely and efficiently
  • Reload or perform minor repairs on ABM (automated banking machine) from various financial institutions
  • Ensure a safe environment for colleagues and customers
  • Follow established routes and schedules closely
  • Drive an armored vehicle and respect road safety at all times
  • Load and unload the armored vehicle
  • Complete daily reports and paperwork
  • Respect procedures and regulations initiated by GardaWorld

Requirements:

  • Possess a restricted and non-restricted Federal Firearms License (Possession and Acquisition licence-PAL)
  • Own a valid driver's license (Level 5) with a maximum loss of 6 demerit points
  • Available for day and night shifts on call (casual position, each month must contain a minimum of four (4), twenty-four (24) hour blocks of availability per month)
  • Capable to lift loads up to 50 lbs
  • Available to work on call for evenings, nights or weekend shifts
  • Reliable, conscientious, responsible and committed to safe job performance
  • Customer service oriented
  • Highly organized and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Eager to work in a fast-paced environment and capable to cope with pressure and tight timelines
  • Skillful in managing stressful situations
