As a Technology Sales Specialist within IBM Storage, you'll embark on a journey of co-creation with clients and colleagues in a highly respected and awarded team. Your role will be to develop relationships, understand client needs, and showcase IBM's industry-leading solutions that solve their problems and deliver value to their business.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Brand Sales Specialist, you'll work closely with clients to:

  1. Drive Client Value: Effectively communicate IBM's value proposition and manage client relationships.
  2. Engage Decision Makers: Identify and qualify opportunities, establishing partnerships with key stakeholders.
  3. Lead Sales Process: Oversee the complete sales process, focusing on new business development.
  4. Collaborate with IBM Ecosystem: Work with the broader IBM sales ecosystem to develop campaigns and boost pipeline growth.

Requirements and Expertise

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  1. Tech Sales Success: A proven track record in tech sales, particularly in new client acquisition, with a focus on high performance and results-driven sales.
  2. Business Acumen: Demonstrated ability to explain tech's operational and financial impact on business.
  3. Influential Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills with a strong influence on clients and stakeholders.

Preferred Expertise

While not required, having expertise in:

  1. Storage Market: Storage market knowledge to provide trusted client advice (training on IBM's Storage offerings is provided).
  2. IBM Competitive Distinctions: Understanding IBM's competitive differentiations and the position of competitors in the market.
