Job Summary
The Government of Northwest Territories is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Relief Custodian to join our team. As a Relief Custodian, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and care for facilities and equipment to ensure a healthy, safe, and sanitary environment.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and machinery.
- Restock supplies and materials as needed.
- Assist with special events and projects as required.
Requirements
- Grade 10 education or equivalent experience.
- Ability to read and understand labels and instructions.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Effective time management and problem-solving skills.
- Verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Working Conditions
This is a Relief position with no established hours of work on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. You may be required to report to work on an as-and-when-required basis for facilities that operate on a daily basis throughout the year.
