Job Summary:

As a Security Technician I at Ainsworth, you will be responsible for delivering preventative visits to access control, intruder alarm, and CCTV systems in commercial environments, adhering to company and industry standards. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough inspections and maintenance of security systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues with access control, intruder alarm, and CCTV systems.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and communication to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with the installation team on similar projects and assisting with the installation of new systems.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest security solutions and technologies provided by Ainsworth.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A passion for the trade and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer communication skills and a team player attitude.
  • A good knowledge of CANASA and security industry standards.
  • Electronic Installation Qualification(s) or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a similar role in the security industry.
  • Multi-disciplined skills in the security industry, including service, small works, fault-finding, and maintenance.
  • A Full Clean Driving License.
  • The ability to adapt to new technologies.

Qualifications:

You will need:

  • Excellent knowledge of CCTV, access control, door entry, and intruder alarm systems.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working within the Electronic Security Systems industry.
  • Knowledge and experience of systems networking and IP configuration.
  • The ability to obtain a Federal Level II Security Clearance.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word.
