Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Response Team Lead to enhance our Cybersecurity division. In this pivotal role, you will oversee a dedicated team of Cybersecurity analysts, serving as a key liaison among various stakeholders, including business partners and technical teams such as Global Security Operations Center (SOC), Data Protection, Compliance, Threat Intelligence, Vulnerability Management, Governance, Identity Management, Systems Engineering, Software Development, and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of Incident Responders and Threat Analysts.
  • Establish and uphold the Information Security Incident Management Process, creating comprehensive documentation for incident handling.
  • Conduct forensic investigations utilizing logs and other data, ensuring effective containment and remediation, and performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) as required.
  • Enhance and maintain Incident Response capabilities to detect, proactively hunt for, and respond to sophisticated cyber threats.
  • Coordinate and support activities related to investigations, risk mitigation, and analysis.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across various business units and teams within the organization.
  • Conduct regular tabletop exercises to assess the readiness of the Incident Response function.
  • Collaborate closely with the Cybersecurity Engineering team on the implementation of new monitoring rules, playbooks, and automation of manual tasks.
  • Research emerging threats to understand the evolving threat landscape and its implications for Aviva.
  • Drive continuous improvement of Aviva's Cybersecurity posture.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Security Engineering, or Network Engineering, with a focus on Incident Response and Threat Hunting.
  • Proficient in various Cybersecurity domains, including:
    • Securing infrastructure in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
    • Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Log Management, and Network Security.
    • Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR).
    • Cryptographic services and Computer Forensics.
    • Vulnerability Management and Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR).
    • Identity and Access Management (IAM).
    • Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS).
    • Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
    • Threat Intelligence and User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA).
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to coordinate with diverse local and global teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, influencing peers and partners to prioritize critical issues.
  • Strong skills in creating and presenting incident summary reports.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, PCI, and CIS.
  • Effective planning, organization, and prioritization skills to meet established deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Outstanding technical knowledge of network protocols, vulnerabilities, and remediation techniques.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.

  • Ability to influence and drive best practices in Cybersecurity.
  • Experience with AWS and Azure is advantageous.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Possession of at least one recognized industry certification (e.g., GSEC, CISA, CISM, CISSP, CEH) or a willingness to obtain one within a specified timeframe.
