Position Details

Title: Galleries Project Coordinator

Status: Regular Part-Time

Hours: 24 hours per week

Department: Faculty of Applied Sciences & Technology

Compensation: $19.09 – $29.38 per hour

About the Faculty of Applied Sciences & Technology:

The Faculty of Applied Sciences & Technology at Humber College provides a comprehensive array of programs in media, arts, and design. Our curriculum covers a wide spectrum of creative disciplines, including journalism, film, media production, advertising, and design. We emphasize hands-on learning and industry-specific skills that prepare our graduates to excel in their careers.

Role Responsibilities

The Galleries Project Coordinator is tasked with organizing and managing the logistical aspects of various Humber Galleries initiatives, both in-person and online. This encompasses a range of activities, including webinars, masterclasses, and conferences. The Coordinator ensures that all events and projects led by Humber Galleries uphold high standards of professionalism and quality. Collaboration with the Communications and Outreach Coordinator is essential for addressing project-specific communication needs, including content development and social media strategies.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborating with the Project Lead to design and plan programming for the Galleries.
  • Managing project-specific planning, development, and execution.
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders as necessary.
  • Providing support during Galleries exhibitions and installations, ensuring excellent customer service and technical assistance.
  • Working closely with the Communications and Outreach Coordinator on tailored communication strategies.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a 2-year advanced diploma or equivalent, ideally in a design or cultural field.

Experience and Skills:

  • At least one year of experience in cultural, communications, event planning, or customer service roles.
  • Familiarity with the creative and cultural sectors.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
