Position Details

Title: Galleries Project Coordinator

Status: Regular Part-Time

Hours: 24 hours per week

Department: Faculty of Applied Sciences & Technology

Compensation: $19.09 – $29.38 per hour

The Faculty of Applied Sciences & Technology at Humber College offers a comprehensive array of programs in media, arts, and design. Our diverse range of disciplines includes journalism, film, media production, advertising, public relations, and fine arts. We emphasize hands-on learning and industry-specific skills, ensuring our graduates are well-prepared for their careers.

Role Responsibilities

The Galleries Project Coordinator is tasked with organizing and executing the logistical aspects of Humber Galleries initiatives, both in-person and online. This includes managing webinars, masterclasses, innovation projects, and conferences. The coordinator ensures that all events and projects involving external partners uphold high standards of professionalism and quality. Collaboration with the Communications and Outreach Coordinator is essential for project-specific communication needs, including content development, design, and social media strategy.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborating with the Project Lead to develop and plan gallery programming.
  • Overseeing project-specific planning, development, and execution.
  • Coordinating with internal and external partners as necessary.
  • Providing customer service and technical support during gallery exhibitions and installations.
  • Working with the Communications and Outreach Coordinator on project-related communication strategies.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a 2-year advanced diploma or equivalent, preferably in design or cultural studies.

Experience and Skills:

  • At least one year of experience in cultural, communications, event planning, or customer service roles.
  • Familiarity with the creative and cultural sectors.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
