Education Requirements

Work Environment

The position involves working in a variety of settings, including:

  • On-site customer service
  • Commercial and industrial projects
  • Residential installations
  • Retail service and repair
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assessing the type of glass, frames, and materials needed for projects.
  • Measuring, marking, and cutting glass to specifications.
  • Positioning and securing glass panes within frames.
  • Assembling and installing prefabricated glass products, mirrors, and other glass items.
  • Installing hardware for doors, windows, and other fixtures.
  • Repairing glass doors and other glass structures as needed.
  • Supervising junior workers and ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Transporting glass cases safely to various locations.
  • Working at heights using scaffolding or swing stages.
  • Utilizing man-lift mobile equipment, cranes, and other lifting devices.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, maps, and technical drawings.
Physical Demands

This role is physically demanding and requires:

  • Ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Prolonged periods of standing.
  • Flexibility to bend, crouch, and kneel as necessary.
Experience Requirements

Candidates should have:

  • A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience.
  • A commitment to permanent employment.
  • Proficiency in English as the working language.
  • A willingness to work approximately 35 hours per week.
