As an Accounting Analyst at Nutrien, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial statements. You will work closely with our outsource team to review and coordinate journal entries, period end close activities, and balance sheet reconciliations. Your attention to detail and analytical skills will be essential in identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues that may arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and coordinate journal entries and period end close activities for the NPKC business units.
- Work with the outsource team to ensure accurate and timely financial statement preparation.
- Coordinate with other teams to receive information required for calculating and posting accruals and prepaids.
- Review and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from a recognized institution or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2+ years accounting experience, financial statement preparation a plus.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills (ERP – SAP and Oracle; Microsoft Office-Excel).
- Capacity to learn multiple processes and support other positions.
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills.
- Highly detail-oriented.
- Process improvement mindset.
