Job Summary

The Personal Support Worker will provide high-quality care to seniors in a safe and respectful environment. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and making a positive impact on the lives of others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and assistance with daily activities to seniors in a long-term care setting
  • Support seniors with their physical, social, and emotional needs, promoting independence and dignity
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to develop and implement personalized care plans
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client care and progress
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved Personal Support Worker course in Ontario
  • Experience in long-term care setting an asset
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to take initiative, problem solve, and time manage
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Computer literacy
  • Shift work, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends
  • Ability to speak and converse in Chinese an asset

Working Conditions

  • Considerable standing, walking, lifting, and bending
  • Exposure to all resident care elements through regular resident contact
  • Ability to work evening shifts, including weekends and short shifts
  • This is a temporary full-time position for 3 months
