Nurse Aide Job Description

MEDICARE STAFFING SOLUTION INC is seeking a skilled Nurse Aide to join our team. As a Nurse Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supply and empty bed pans, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment for patients.
  • Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients with care and attention to their needs.
  • Deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments, maintaining effective communication.
  • Administer suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas as prescribed by medical professionals.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies, ensuring a well-stocked and organized workspace.
  • Bathe, dress, and groom patients with dignity and respect.
  • Transport patients between care facilities, prioritizing their safety and comfort.
  • Answer call signals to determine patients' needs and respond accordingly.
  • Collect specimens, following proper protocols and procedures.
  • Prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and sterilizing operative areas, adhering to strict medical standards.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Physically demanding role requiring stamina and endurance.
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting are essential tasks.
Personal Suitability:
  • Client focus and empathy are essential for providing excellent patient care.
  • Efficient interpersonal skills and excellent oral communication are necessary for effective teamwork.
  • Initiative, organization, and reliability are key qualities for success in this role.
Experience:
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Permanent position with 30 hours per week.
  • Language of work: English.
