About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer to join our team at KARIGARS INTERIORS LTD. As a Drywall Installer, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall to create smooth, even surfaces for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate with other workers to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to create a durable and attractive surface
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for installation, including removing old finishes and debris
  • Cure freshly plastered surfaces to ensure a strong bond
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs in the finish coat as required
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency for optimal performance
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound for a seamless finish
  • Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces
  • Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring for a secure installation
  • Cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts, and electrical outlets
  • Install acoustic tile, hangers for suspended ceilings, and metal studs for composition wallboard or lath
  • Install exterior and interior steel studs for a sturdy and durable structure
  • Prepare wall and ceiling layouts to ensure accurate installation
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages to complete tasks safely and efficiently
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in drywall installation and finishing
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Physical stamina to lift and move heavy materials
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Working Conditions
  • 40 hours per week, permanent position
  • Work language: English
