Key Responsibilities

  1. Establish and maintain effective production schedules to guarantee optimal staffing levels and seamless operations.
  2. Work closely with production supervisors to assess staffing requirements and adjust priorities as necessary.
  3. Coordinate with the Human Resources department to facilitate the onboarding and training of new manufacturing staff.
  4. Track attendance and timekeeping records to ensure compliance with organizational policies.
  5. Identify and resolve staffing shortages or scheduling conflicts proactively to maintain production flow.
  6. Implement workforce optimization strategies, including cross-training and shift adjustments.
  7. Keep accurate records of employee qualifications, certifications, and training needs.
  8. Act as the primary contact for manufacturing staff regarding scheduling, assignments, and time-off inquiries.
  9. Engage in regular discussions with management to report on staffing levels, hiring needs, and workforce planning.
  10. Collaborate with payroll teams to ensure precise processing of employee attendance data.
  11. Review and authorize timesheets and time-off requests to ensure adherence to company policies.
  12. Work with HR and payroll to resolve any discrepancies related to employee compensation.
  13. Generate analytical reports to monitor labor costs and support financial planning.
  14. Assist in enhancing payroll systems to improve efficiency and data integrity.
  15. Serve as a communication bridge between manufacturing and payroll departments to address any payroll-related issues.
  16. Manage the distribution and tracking of employee identification badges.
  17. Provide assistance to staff regarding badge-related concerns, including replacements and activations.
  18. Collaborate with HR to ensure employee records are accurate and up-to-date.

Qualifications

  1. A degree in business administration, human resources, or a related discipline is preferred.
  2. Experience with workforce management systems and production planning in a manufacturing context.
  3. Strong organizational abilities with a focus on prioritizing tasks in a dynamic environment.
  4. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with employees at all levels.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook.
  6. Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and make informed decisions under pressure.
  7. Familiarity with labor regulations pertaining to scheduling and employee management.
