The University of British Columbia's School of Nursing is seeking a highly motivated Graduate Academic Assistant (GAA) to contribute to an important research project examining inter-ethnic relationships within the settlement sector. Under the guidance of the Principal Investigator (PI) and Research Coordinator, you will play a vital role in data collection and analysis.

  • Participant Engagement:
    • Distribute recruitment materials according to established protocols.
    • Communicate with potential participants and manage their registrations effectively.
    • Utilize the Qualtrics platform to facilitate remote consent procedures.
  • Focus Group Facilitation:
    • Conduct virtual focus groups, ensuring a respectful and productive environment for participants.
  • Data Management & Analysis:
    • Maintain meticulous data organization throughout the research process.
    • Review and prepare transcripts from focus group sessions.
    • Assist in qualitative data analysis using Nvivo software, contributing to the identification of key themes and insights.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Regularly liaise with the research team to ensure smooth project execution and knowledge sharing.
