Your Role as a Meat Department Clerk

As a Meat Department Clerk at Metro, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our meat department and delivering outstanding customer service. You will be responsible for preparing, displaying, and stocking various meat products while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and display a wide range of meat products according to Metro's standards and guidelines.
  • Adhere to merchandising practices and manage inventory levels effectively.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area within the department.
  • Assist customers with inquiries, provide product information, and process orders accurately.
  • Operate and maintain equipment used in the meat department safely and efficiently.
  • Contribute to a positive and customer-focused environment throughout the store.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • 0-6 months of experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
Desired Skills:
  • A friendly and approachable demeanor with excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle merchandise and work effectively in a cold environment.
