About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Elk Point Cafe & Business Centre Inc. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet customers and discuss their needs, providing personalized recommendations and solutions.
  • Sales and Merchandising: Operate cash registers, process transactions, and maintain accurate sales records for inventory control.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in displaying merchandise, restocking shelves, and maintaining a visually appealing store environment.
  • Technical Skills: Operate computerized inventory record-keeping and re-ordering systems, and conduct sales transactions through Internet-based electronic commerce.
  • Communication: Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates, and maintain effective communication with customers and colleagues.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Work Setting: Retail business, cafeteria, or similar environment.
  • Personal Suitability: Efficiency, positive attitude, organized, and reliable.
Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Work Conditions: Repetitive tasks, standing for long periods, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
