As a Senior Data Analytics Engineer or Specialist, you will play a pivotal role within the Technical Airworthiness Group (TAG), providing essential support, training, feedback, and guidance to Engineering teams throughout our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with TAG Engineers, Engineering Directors/Managers, and other departments to:

Identify potential opportunities for innovation projects. Assist in data mining to develop and substantiate value propositions for new initiatives based on data from various sources. Recognize trends and opportunities, including processes with insufficient control, ideas for cost or turnaround time reduction, and subcontract repatriation. Engage in containment efforts for Quality Escapes. Conduct intricate data analyses to uncover commonalities before finalizing the list of affected populations. Lead and support strategic planning for the integration of AI tools into Engineering practices and processes. Contribute to the AI Roadmap/Strategy concerning Engineering and Quality functions. Oversee and assist in projects and tasks to implement that strategic vision. Develop training programs relevant to Engineering and Quality personnel, focusing on basic queries to access and analyze StandardAero's data. Create and enhance universal queries and reports to facilitate the generation of Engineering KPIs across the organization. Recommend modifications to corporate ERP software to improve data capture for analytics. Acquire comprehensive knowledge of both Navixa and SA Menu ERP systems. Identify best practices for sharing between platforms and collaborate with MIS Business Analysts and stakeholders to drive enhancements to ERP applications.

Required Qualifications:

Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. A Technologist Diploma will also be considered. Exceptional skills and demonstrated critical thinking abilities. Extensive knowledge and experience with various data analysis applications (e.g., MS Access, Excel, APEX, and Power BI) are essential for this position.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Previous experience in project management, including tools, planning, and time management. Strong business acumen to extract insights from historical data. Excellent written communication skills across multiple formats (e.g., PowerPoint, Word, email) to support commercial reporting needs. Ability to present methodologies, assumptions, and conclusions to diverse audiences, from frontline teams to executive leadership. Proficient in pulling and synthesizing data from various sources. Skilled in statistical formulas, techniques, and applications. Proficient in validating datasets and ensuring data quality from the source. Understanding of database management and tools, with experience in writing SQL queries. Comfortable navigating ambiguity, dynamic environments, and evolving requirements. Adaptable to both office and manufacturing settings. Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma and other Continuous Improvement methodologies is advantageous.
