Key Responsibilities- Foster interdisciplinary collaboration while maintaining autonomous practice.
- Continuously seek improvements in care processes by integrating standards and feedback from various stakeholders, including physicians, staff, residents, and families.
- Contribute to the quality of resident care through roles as an advanced practitioner, educator, researcher, and leader.
- Collaborate closely with the Medical Directors and attending physicians to optimize resident care.
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) in the Extended Class (Primary Health Care or Adult) is required, along with a Master's Degree in Nursing (MScN).
- Specialty certification in gerontological nursing and experience in gerontology is advantageous; postgraduate certification and experience in palliative and end-of-life care are also beneficial.
- Preferred experience as a Registered Nurse (EC) in long-term care or geriatric settings.
- Strong computer proficiency, including familiarity with Point Click Care and MS Office suite.
- Ability to think critically, analyze information, and solve problems effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a capacity for empathy and discretion.
- Flexibility and teamwork skills, with the ability to foster positive working relationships.
- Good understanding of current trends and legislation in long-term care and community services.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Cantonese/Mandarin is an asset.
- Light to normal physical demands.
- Some travel between centers may be required; personal vehicle use is necessary.
