Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team at Northeast Engineering and Development ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for calculating and preparing cheques for payroll, preparing statements of earnings for employees, and storing, updating, and retrieving financial data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll Processing: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Employee Communications: Inform employees about payroll matters and benefit plans, providing clear and concise information.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain records of employee attendance, leave, and overtime to calculate pay and benefit entitlements.
  • Reporting: Prepare and balance period-end reports and reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements.
  • Benefits Administration: Complete and submit documentations for administration of benefits such as pension plans, leaves, share savings, employment, and medical insurance.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Accurate, client-focused, excellent oral and written communication, organized, reliable, and team player.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek. The work language is English.
