About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Legal to join our team at SkillsWave LLC. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's legal strategy and providing expert guidance on employment-related matters, litigation, and corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage employment-related legal matters, including litigation and other legal issues that may arise
  • Advise the President and Executive Chairman on legal matters, providing practical and strategic guidance
  • Act as a facilitator and trusted advisor to the business, providing legal advice across internal stakeholder groups
  • Develop, draft, revise, administer, implement, and interpret the company's compliance policies, procedures, and programs
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and government authorities as required
  • Manage litigation, including eDiscovery and external litigation counsel
  • Cross-functional project management
Requirements
  • Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience as a corporate lawyer
  • Strong knowledge of and experience drafting and reviewing contract terms and conditions, including liability, indemnity, and IP considerations, government regulations, and procurement practices
  • Transaction management experience an asset
  • International experience an asset
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $150,000, based on the minimum level of work experience and qualifications. More senior candidates may apply, but note that the salary for the position has been set at the range listed.
