The Assistant General Manager is responsible for overseeing the service and experience of the operation across multiple locations, with a rich history of excellence and a commitment to providing exceptional dining experiences. Key Responsibilities- Operational Oversight: Assist the District Manager in overseeing the kitchen, dining room, coffee bar, catering, and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer service.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and place orders as necessary to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize wastage.
- Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and quality assurance regulations and industry standards. Implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance with all required policies and procedures, and support a safe working environment.
- Staff Development: Support associate and manager training and development initiatives to enhance team skills and service quality. Provide guidance and mentorship to foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Customer Satisfaction: Collaborate with the team to exceed customer expectations, address feedback, and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Food Service Experience: Demonstrated experience in multi-unit, large-scale food service operations, with a solid understanding of kitchen management, dining room service, catering, and front-of-house operations.
- People-Centered Approach: The ability to set and maintain exceptional hospitality that is friendly and engaging.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and inspire a diverse team. Ability to work collaboratively with other managers and unionized associates.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational abilities, including inventory management, scheduling, and coordination of tasks to ensure efficient operations.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with provincial and local health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with associates, customers, and stakeholders.
