The Government of Northwest Territories is seeking a highly skilled Facility Planning Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure planning team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice to the Department and Health and Social Services Boards on facility planning and development.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and monitor multimillion-dollar capital and operational budgets for health and social services facilities
- Support, monitor, and evaluate facilities in health and social services boards of management
- Plan and monitor over seventy health and social services facilities in all communities in the NWT
To be successful in this role, you will require a Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering, plus 7 years of relevant experience, or a Diploma in Architectural or Engineering Technology, plus 9 years of relevant experience. A minimum of 2 years of cold/remote location experience is preferred.
Working EnvironmentThis is a 2-year term position that requires extensive collaboration with representatives from the Department, Boards, Communities, Colleagues, and Private sector. The work is conducted in a team environment, often requiring travel to regions and communities.
