About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mine Progression Projects Engineer Student to join our team at Imperial. As a key member of our Kearl Heavy Civil Projects Team, you will be responsible for managing multiple civil projects, ensuring successful completion in line with civil portfolio objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project performance, including safety, quality, cost, and schedule.
  • Lead the development of key project deliverables, such as project plans and field installation work plans.
  • Serve as a key interface point for project-related inquiries, liaising with construction execution teams, contractors, discipline engineers, and other project stakeholders.
  • Support, monitor, and appraise contractor and execution performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, investigations, and lessons learned workshops to enhance project performance.
About You

We are looking for a student with a strong academic background in engineering, preferably in civil or mining disciplines. You should have a keen interest in project management, heavy civil construction, and mining. Prior experience in project management or civil engineering is an asset, but not mandatory.

You should be able to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential. You should be highly motivated, take initiative, and ownership of your work.
