About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Architectural Technologist to join our team at TalentSphere Staffing Solutions. As a key member of our architecture and design firm, you will be responsible for creating comprehensive working drawing packages and construction documents packages for submission and tender.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create detailed technical drawings and construction documents for submission and tender
  • Liaise with clients throughout the project lifecycle to ensure client satisfaction
  • Work with the project team to establish, maintain, and adhere to project budget and schedule
  • Supervise the preparation of technical drawings by junior architects and professionals
  • Prepare client presentations and present drawings
  • Ensure that construction detail documentation conforms to QA/QC and Best Practice standards
  • Mentor and direct the work of junior technical staff, leading a team of technologists
  • Prepare drawings and documents for permit applications
  • Participate in team meetings to resolve project issues, coordinate with other disciplines, schedule adherence, and technical issues
  • Participate in project reviews regarding project costs, budgets, and adherence to schedule
  • Communicate effectively with clients, both verbally and in writing
Requirements
  • 12+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Possess a range of project experience
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work to deadlines
  • Strong experience and knowledge of the national building code and bylaws
  • Excellent knowledge of BIM 360, Revit skills, and other programs such as AutoCAD, Navisworks, SketchUp, and 3D rendering software
  • Dedicated work ethic, strong communicator, and good leadership skills
  • Good client liaison skills and ability to provide technical drawings/portfolio
  • Able to be physically located in Edmonton, Alberta
