Gas Liquids Engineering Ltd. is a reputable, privately-owned engineering consultancy specializing in EPCM services tailored for the energy sector. Our expertise encompasses project management, engineering, drafting and design, procurement, construction oversight, and regulatory compliance.

We are seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to engage in a diverse range of innovative and complex projects within the realms of natural gas, oil, fractionation, carbon capture, hydrogen production, power generation, and transmission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee projects of varying scales as the Electrical Project Lead, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Provide mentorship and support to engineering staff and designers in the creation of engineering documentation.
  • Specify, assess, and procure electrical and control system components while completing the electrical design.
  • Contribute to the advancement of the Electrical department through the review and development of standards and templates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology, along with a Registered P.Eng. in good standing with a Canadian engineering authority.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in energy-related projects within Canada, including a role as the Electrical Project Lead.
  • At least 1 year of experience in leading junior and intermediate engineers, technologists, and designers/drafters.
  • Proficiency in ETAP Electrical Power System Analysis Software.
  • Experience in oil and gas or process facilities is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with power generation, transmission, and substations is a plus.
  • Understanding of project change management and procurement systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational, communication (both written and verbal), and technical skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and field personnel in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel to facilities as necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Additional Information:

This position offers various employment types, including full-time, part-time, contract, and permanent roles. Benefits include dental care and disability insurance, along with on-site parking.

Language Requirements: French language skills are not mandatory.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday.
