MacEwan University is seeking a visionary leader to serve as the Associate Vice-President, Student Support and Accountability. This key role requires imagination, innovation, and creativity to build a sense of belonging and community, enabling students to thrive both inside and outside the campus environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic and operational leadership for a diverse range of student support services, enhancing student access, wellness, and accountability.
- Lead a team of over 40 in the areas of Student Wellness Services, the Exam Centre, Student Conduct and Academic Integrity, Access and Disability Resources, and Wellness and Psychological Services.
- Oversee the planning, development, organization, and administration of student support policies and services, ensuring effective communication between student support areas and the broader University.
- Champion and advocate for student inclusion principles, accessibility, and disability resources.
- Support holistic student access and wellness (physical, emotional, and intellectual) and inspire others to foster an equitable and integrated approach to student well-being within a healthy and sustainable campus environment.
- Ensure appropriate policies and frameworks are in place to assess, support, and resolve student behavioural and academic conduct.
- Relevant graduate credentials.
- A strong track record of progressive leadership experience managing multi-faceted portfolios in student services and support within a post-secondary environment.
- Visionary, collaborative, respectful, strategic, decisive, politically astute, and able to operate effectively within a shared bicameral governance structure.
- A commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion principles.
