Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing services to patients, families, and communities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Utilize critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to deliver patient-centered care.
- Teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of patients and their families, promoting health and wellness.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic and integrated care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
- Related experience and a strong desire to succeed in a critical care environment.
- Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to problem-solve and organize in a fast-paced workflow.
- Basic computer skills and ability to tolerate constant walking, standing, kneeling, bending, reaching, and sustained posture.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CLS certification.
- Recent experience in advanced dysrhythmia and 12-lead ECG interpretations, hemodynamic monitoring, mechanical ventilation, and intra-aortic balloon pump.
