Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
  • Related experience and a strong desire to succeed in a critical care environment.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to problem-solve and organize in a fast-paced workflow.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to tolerate constant walking, standing, kneeling, bending, reaching, and sustained posture.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CLS certification.
  • Recent experience in advanced dysrhythmia and 12-lead ECG interpretations, hemodynamic monitoring, mechanical ventilation, and intra-aortic balloon pump.
