Position Overview: English Language Educator
The Centre de services scolaire des Rives-du-Saguenay is dedicated to providing quality education to a diverse student population across various educational institutions. Our team comprises approximately 2000 professionals committed to excellence in educational service.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
We are seeking a dedicated and professional educator who aligns with our core values and educational philosophy. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans;
- Deliver engaging and structured instructional sessions;
- Create both formative and summative assessments aligned with competency-based education;
- Evaluate and provide feedback on student assessments;
- Support each student's academic journey and encourage their success;
- Be accessible to students to facilitate skill enhancement;
- Maintain confidentiality of student information;
- Undertake additional related responsibilities as required.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Possess a valid teaching certification or equivalent qualification;
- Be enrolled full-time in a recognized teaching bachelor's or master's program at a Quebec university;
- Successfully complete the TECFÉE examination or the internal French proficiency assessment.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Exhibit strong communication skills in both French and English, verbally and in writing;
- Collaborate effectively within a team and demonstrate a commitment to student achievement;
- Understand and apply classroom management techniques;
- Display adaptability, organizational skills, and effective planning;
- Show enthusiasm for participating in school improvement initiatives or staff projects;
- Be responsible, punctual, and dedicated to their role.
COMPENSATION AND WORKING CONDITIONS
- Employment conditions are in accordance with educational sector standards;
- Salary is determined based on the current collective agreement.
Candidates will undergo a selection process that includes assessments and interviews to evaluate their qualifications.
