TEACHER PROFILE

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans;
- Conduct engaging, effective, and well-structured classes;
- Create formative and summative evaluations using a competency-focused methodology;
- Administer and assess student evaluations;
- Offer academic assistance and foster student achievement;
- Be accessible to students to enhance their understanding of the subject;
- Uphold confidentiality regarding student matters and records;
- Carry out any additional related responsibilities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Possess a valid teaching certification or equivalent qualifications;
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in education at a recognized Quebec university;
- Successfully complete the TECFÉE examination or the internal French assessment of the Centre de services scolaire des Rives-du-Saguenay.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills in French;
- Demonstrate proficiency in the English language, both spoken and written;
- Collaborate effectively within a team to prioritize student success;
- Understand and apply classroom management techniques;
- Exhibit strong adaptability, organizational, and planning abilities;
- Show enthusiasm for initiatives that promote school development or staff involvement;
- Be accountable, punctual, and diligent in responsibilities.
COMPENSATION AND WORKING CONDITIONS
- Working conditions adhere to the standards of the educational network;
- Annual salary is determined according to the existing collective agreement.
Candidates will undergo evaluations (tests, interviews, etc.) to assess their qualifications related to the position.
