About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Lead to join our retail team at Roots. As a Team Lead, you will play a key role in supporting the leadership team and sales associates in achieving exceptional customer service and sales results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Support: Assist in the operational functions of the store, including managing sales floor operations, maintaining store appearance, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Team Leadership: Motivate and lead the sales team to exceed sales goals and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Reporting and Administration: Provide support and coverage to the Store and Assistant Managers in their absence, and assist with reporting and administrative tasks.

Requirements
  • 1+ years of related experience in a retail apparel environment, with luxury retail experience an asset.
  • Proven ability to successfully lead a sales team and viewed as a leader among peers.
  • Proven experience with POS management, daily banking procedures, and submitting timely reports.
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for upholding an exceptional customer experience.
  • Ability to collaborate with others and be self-motivated.
  • Availability for varied weekly shifts, including weekends, closing, and holidays.

  • Partner with store management to execute action plans that optimize results and ensure effective execution of all store operational activities.

  • Assist store management in conducting new associate onboarding and training.
  • Coach associates on customer service fundamentals and provide positive feedback.
  • Assist in resolving customer service matters.
  • Oversee and delegate tasks to team to best maximize efficiency of store operations.
  • Communicate individual and/or team performance feedback to store management.
  • Ensure team receives scheduled breaks and/or meal periods.
  • Create an open outward communication on the sales floor.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures, and any inventory duties as directed.
