Security Operations Manager

As a Security Operations Manager at Paladin Security, you will be responsible for overseeing the security operations at a hospital in Vancouver. This role involves supervising and directing Security Officers, ensuring adherence to guidelines and standards, and maintaining the daily operation of the site schedule.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and train Security Officers to ensure they meet Paladin and hospital standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all Security Officers adhere to guidelines and standards, and provide support and resources as needed.
- Monitor performance and document areas for improvement.
- Compile accurate statistics on a monthly basis based on shift reports and incident reports.
- Conduct regular panic alarm system tests, maintain records, and prepare incident reports and other safety and security documentation.
- Conduct site orientation and training of new Officers, ensuring site orientation packages and officer review tests are completed within the allotted training period.
- Assist with shift coverage and maintain the site schedule and training schedule.
- Remain on-call for support during serious issues and site incidents.
- Perform site patrols and desk duty, and respond to all necessary calls.
- Minimum of two years of work experience in a supervisory or managerial role in the security industry, or a combination of experience and relevant education.
- Must currently hold an Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level 2 certificate and be willing to complete re-certification as required.
- Working knowledge of general OH&S standards and requirements.
- Ability to lead, plan, organize, delegate, and problem-solve.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, leadership, and professionalism.
- Ability to function effectively in a highly dynamic environment.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, which includes hands-on restraint situations, and foot patrols indoors and outdoors.
