Job Overview

Ainsworth is seeking a talented Controls Designer Level 1 to enhance our dynamic team. Position Summary:

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of commercial building automation systems. A solid understanding of PC fundamentals, networking, basic electronic principles, and building electrical and mechanical systems is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the delivery of Building Automation Solutions within the Construction and Operation Department.
  • Assist in site commissioning, perform point-to-point verifications, troubleshoot issues, and support the startup of various Building Automation Systems.
  • Acquire and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of ESC Safe Work and Health & Safety Policies.
  • Grasp the fundamental operations of HVAC systems in commercial buildings.
  • Collaborate with and comprehend HVAC and Digital Control fundamentals.
  • Exhibit knowledge of BAS Networking and Integration of Building Systems.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Driver's license.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, and product documentation.
  • Graduate from a recognized technical or engineering program.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Capable of performing medium physical duties, including standing for extended periods, climbing ladders, and occasionally working at heights.
  • Programming experience is considered an asset.
