About the Role

As a medical doctor with Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF), you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality medical care and leading a team of healthcare professionals in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out clinical work and provide medical care to patients in need
  • Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals, including providing training, supervision, and coordination
  • Support medical data collection and analysis, and develop and implement relevant protocols
  • Manage medical supplies and forecast needs
  • Collaborate with locally hired health staff and other MSF teams to achieve project objectives

Requirements

  • Full and current registration as a medical doctor
  • Most specialties can apply right after residency, while family doctors and general practitioners need minimum one-year relevant post-residency work experience
  • At least six months of clinical experience within the last two years
  • Experience in managing staff in a multicultural team and supervising medical staff
  • Excellent command of English, as well as French (level B2) or another language (Arabic, Spanish)
  • Relevant travel or work experience in contexts similar to where MSF works
  • Available to work six to 9 months

Assets

  • Public health experience
  • Diploma in tropical medicine
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (especially Excel)
