Job Description

Job Title: Executive Director - Women's Shelter and Support Services

Job Summary:

The Ontario Association of Interval & Transition Houses is seeking an experienced and compassionate Executive Director to lead our organization in providing essential services to women, children, and youth who have experienced the impact of violence against women.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the organization, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our clients.
  • Develop and implement effective fundraising strategies to secure funding for our programs and services.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, community partners, and donors.
  • Oversee the management of our shelter and support services, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for our clients.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the effective management of our organization.
  • Supervise and support a team of staff and volunteers, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, ensuring our organization remains a leader in the field of women's shelter and support services.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in social work, non-profit management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a non-profit organization.
  • Proven track record of fundraising and grant writing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • Competitive salary range: $135,000 to $145,000, commensurate with experience.
