Job Summary
We're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Control Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you'll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of engineering documents, including Engineering Change Notices and Bill of Materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit Engineering Change Notices for accuracy and compliance with engineering policies and procedures.
- Create and update Engineering Bill of Materials for release based on information supplied by design groups.
- Release Engineering Change Notices and drawings in support of production activities.
- Provide process and policy guidance to engineering staff members.
- Maintain all engineering release documents and drawing files.
- Monitor Engineering Change Notice activity and institute a pull system when necessary to meet targets.
- Track Engineering Change Notice and drawing first pass yield failure rate.
- Participate in process improvement activities to improve efficiencies.
- Assist the Chief Engineering Manager - Quality with special projects and assignments when required.
Requirements
- Administrative/Business Certificate.
- 2-3 years of experience in a related area, such as document control or engineering.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Knowledge of Oracle ERP and Siemens Teamcenter application is an asset.
- Experience with handling engineering documents.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask.
