About the Role:
The Maintenance Leader will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the plant's maintenance activities. This includes planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities, as well as managing the maintenance team to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
- Manage and supervise a team of maintenance technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties effectively.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, including environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
- Develop and maintain a respectful workplace environment and promote a culture of safety and quality.
- Monitor and report on maintenance performance metrics, including equipment reliability, maintenance costs, and safety performance.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a maintenance leadership role.
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, with experience in maintenance management and supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office and maintenance management software.
Physical Requirements:
- The ability to stand for extended periods and manually lift, push, or pull at least 50 pounds safely and with proper body mechanics.
- The ability to work safely in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful work environment.
- The ability to withstand the rigors of working a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.
