About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Technician to join our team at National Plumbing & Heating Ltd.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
  • Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings, ensuring a safe and efficient installation process.
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges, guaranteeing a leak-free system.
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing, taking into account factors such as water pressure and flow rate.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size, using precision tools and equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings, ensuring accurate installation and maintenance of plumbing systems.
  • Work in a variety of locations, including residential and commercial settings, to install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow, and to resolve any issues that may arise during the installation process.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the plumbing trade.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting and carrying heavy equipment and materials.
