Envirotech Fire Systems Inc. is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic team. This full-time position involves managing both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions within our organization.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of professional accounting experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately recording daily financial transactions and completing the posting process.
- Ensuring that all transactions are documented in the appropriate day book, supplier ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger.
- Preparing the financial records up to the trial balance stage.
- Collaborating with the Accounting team to develop and assess financial reports, manage accounts payable and receivable, and oversee invoices and payment receipts.
- Monitoring accounts receivable collections, including following up with customers on overdue accounts and documenting collection progress.
- Evaluating customer credit limits and term compliance while preparing credit reports.
- Conducting monthly reconciliations for bank and credit card accounts.
- Generating cash flow reports.
- Processing customer credit card transactions.
- Preparing monthly and annual government returns for GST, PST, and Worker’s Compensation.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by the CFO or Controller.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Demonstrated experience in accounting.
- Strong understanding of fundamental bookkeeping and accounts payable/receivable principles.
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage financial records in an ERP environment.
- Excellent data entry skills with a strong affinity for numbers.
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and accounting software.
- Proficiency in English and MS Office applications.
- Customer service skills and negotiation abilities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Compensation will be based on education and experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary Range: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
