Lead Project Engineer

As a Lead Project Engineer specializing in Structural Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our communities through innovative design and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed structural calculations and design new structures while assessing existing ones across various project scales.
- Supervise the creation of structural drawings for new constructions or renovations, and develop repair details and specifications.
- Conduct site visits during construction phases, preparing comprehensive reports that detail observations and recommendations.
- Draft technical and fee proposals, liaising with clients, architects, building officials, and municipal and provincial approval agencies to enhance our client relationships.
- Mentor junior engineers and ensure quality control of their work.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the Group Leader and Branch Manager in business development initiatives.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering.
- Strong familiarity with the Ontario Building Code (Parts 4 and 9).
- Proficient in designing municipal, institutional, commercial, industrial, and residential structures using various materials including wood, steel, concrete, and masonry.
- Experience managing a diverse range of project sizes.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in structural analysis and design software.
- Outstanding communication, organizational, and time management abilities.
- Experience in business development is advantageous.
- Capability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
