Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team at 2516947 Ontario Inc. as a Child Development Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Development Planning: Assess children's development to prepare a learning plan tailored to their needs.
  • Support Services: Assist co-workers with housekeeping and cooking duties, and provide support to early childhood educators in carrying out programs.
  • Program Development: Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Record Keeping: Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records of children's progress.
  • Engagement and Guidance: Encourage children to express creativity through various activities, engage children in activities, and guide them in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Observation and Reporting: Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Environment Maintenance: Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
  • Team Collaboration: Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
Work Environment
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 to 44 hours per week.
